A cosmic canvas
The Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex is a colorful area of stars, clusters and nebulae. Located approximately 460 light-years away from Earth, in the constellation Ophiuchus and at the tail end of the constellation Scorpius, it is the closest star-forming region to our solar system. To capture this tracked and stacked image of Rho Ophiuchi, I used a modified Canon 6D DSLR with a focal lens of 85 mm. The final composite combines 20 frames with a combined exposure time of 120 minutes. This photo is a collaboration with Eduardo Latorre who performed the processing, while I acquired the images and did some final touches in Photoshop.
